| Mr Potter, Acting Vice Principal:
We are all aware of how important education is to change young people’s lives for the better. In my role I am dedicated to ensure that all students at LAB leave us with the qualifications they require to go on and live out their dreams. At the same time, ensuring that we build character in our children to contribute positively to society as an adult. |
| Mrs Burder, Assistant Principal:
I am delighted to be leading Inclusion at Livingstone Academy. My role is to ensure that every child, regardless of their starting point or individual needs, is fully supported to access learning and thrive in our community. I work closely with staff, students, and families to create an inclusive environment where all pupils feel valued, supported, and able to achieve their aspirations. By championing equity and celebrating diversity, I aim to remove barriers to learning and help every young person grow in confidence, resilience, and independence.

Ms Royle, Assistant Principal:
As Head of Key Stage 4 and 5, I am passionate about supporting every student to achieve their potential, both academically and personally. Our vision is to create a dynamic and nurturing environment where students are inspired to excel, empowered to take ownership of their learning, and prepared for the next stage of their journey — whether that be university, apprenticeships, or the world of work.
I am very excited to lead the development of our Sixth Form, which will offer a broad and challenging curriculum, tailored pathways, and a strong focus on personal development. Alongside high-quality teaching, students will benefit from a wide range of enrichment opportunities, leadership roles, and guidance designed to foster independence, resilience, and ambition.
I am looking forward to welcoming our first cohort in September 2026 and working closely with families to ensure a smooth and exciting transition into this next stage of education.

| Mrs Gould, Assistant Principal:
I am thrilled to have joined the LAB team as Assistant Principal – Head of Primary and Year 7. I am passionate about ensuring that every child thrives at school and believes in their own capabilities and potential.
I have high expectations for every pupil and believe it is essential not to set any ‘glass ceilings’ but instead to help pupils to develop high levels of self-efficacy, persistence and resilience in all they do. I am a firm advocate of “I can’t do it…yet” and a growth mindset. Recognising how much we can learn from the mistakes we make is crucial to being driven to persevere and dream big.
These early years in education are a time when anything is possible, and we want to ensure our pupils have access to an exciting curriculum that motivates them to become independent, creative and critical thinkers.

| Mrs Taylor, Head of EYFS & KS1:
Children are at the heart of everything we do here at LAB. We have built an outstanding team of teachers in Early Years and Key Stage 1 and I am proud to lead such an outstanding part of the academy. I want all pupils to share with us their hopes and dreams, allowing us to support them in fulfilling these ambitions and we are committed to creating a culture whereby our pupils will flourish academically, creatively, physically and morally.
