Welcome to livingstone academy

As a staff team, we take great pride in getting to know and valuing the unique personalities of every student who walks through our doors, building strong working relationships with families based on trust and respect. We believe that communication is vital and to support this, you will see us proudly standing at the gates at the beginning and the end of the school day wishing you a good morning or afternoon and ready to listen to anything you need to share.

If you would like to book an appointment or communicate with any member of staff, please do so by contacting the school office by phone (01202 124555) or by sending an email to office@livingstone-aspirations.org to book an appointment.

Mrs Warr, Acting Principal:

I am committed to creating a positive learning environment where all our students can excel academically, socially, and emotionally.  I believe in providing high-quality education to all students, regardless of their level, in every subject, and at all times. My goal is for all our students to feel secure and confident, allowing every student to achieve their highest standards and goals.

Mr Potter, Acting Vice Principal:

We are all aware of how important education is to change young people’s lives for the better. In my role I am dedicated to ensure that all students at LAB leave us with the qualifications they require to go on and live out their dreams. At the same time, ensuring that we build character in our children to contribute positively to society as an adult.

Mrs Burder, Assistant Principal:

I am delighted to be leading Inclusion at Livingstone Academy. My role is to ensure that every child, regardless of their starting point or individual needs, is fully supported to access learning and thrive in our community. I work closely with staff, students, and families to create an inclusive environment where all pupils feel valued, supported, and able to achieve their aspirations. By championing equity and celebrating diversity, I aim to remove barriers to learning and help every young person grow in confidence, resilience, and independence.

Ms Royle, Assistant Principal:

As Head of Key Stage 4 and 5, I am passionate about supporting every student to achieve their potential, both academically and personally. Our vision is to create a dynamic and nurturing environment where students are inspired to excel, empowered to take ownership of their learning, and prepared for the next stage of their journey — whether that be university, apprenticeships, or the world of work.

I am very excited to lead the development of our Sixth Form, which will offer a broad and challenging curriculum, tailored pathways, and a strong focus on personal development. Alongside high-quality teaching, students will benefit from a wide range of enrichment opportunities, leadership roles, and guidance designed to foster independence, resilience, and ambition.

I am looking forward to welcoming our first cohort in September 2026 and working closely with families to ensure a smooth and exciting transition into this next stage of education.

Mr Long, Assistant Principal:
Mrs McKinley, Assistant Principal:

I feel incredibly proud to lead teaching and learning alongside such a dedicated team of professionals. Every day, I see their passion for bringing out the best in each child, their willingness to try new ideas, and their drive to keep pushing the boundaries of what education can be. It’s inspiring to be part of a community so committed to helping children thrive. As Head of Anning House, I love fostering a sense of belonging, where every student feels valued, supported, and proud to be part of our school community.

Mrs Taylor, Head of EYFS & KS1:

Children are at the heart of everything we do here at LAB. We have built an outstanding team of teachers in Early Years and Key Stage 1 and I am proud to lead such an outstanding part of the academy. I want all pupils to share with us their hopes and dreams, allowing us to support them in fulfilling these ambitions and we are committed to creating a culture whereby our pupils will flourish academically, creatively, physically and morally.
